Crystal Palace vs Leeds – stats and best bets – Monday 25th April

Although the best bets in this write up are backed up by statistics they are not certainties and still could lose. I will use the statistics to point out likely events in these games, and the best bets are the types of bets that I believe stand a good chance of coming in. The best bets will vary in price as this is a case of taking what the stats give us, rather than trying to force bets for the sake of it. I will be as transparent as possible in each write up about why I feel each bet is best bet material. All bets are rated on a 1-3 points system of how strong we believe the chance of it happening is, with 3 being the strongest. This is just an indication of my confidence and should not be taken as advice on what amount to place on a bet, you should only bet what you can afford to lose.

Palace have lost their last 3 games in all competitions and are currently in 14th spot in the League. It’s a bit of a difficult season to weigh up for Palace, as a run to the semi final of the FA-Cup and day out at Wembley will have to be seen as an achievement, but they have been inconsistent at times and will probably be disappointed with their league finishing position, unless they can turn around their form in these last few games. Leeds have not played a game in over 2 weeks they sit 4 points above the relegation places, as it looks like them, Burnley and Everton will be fighting it out to avoid filling the last relegation place. Leeds have a tough run of games coming up as they play Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea in their next 3 league games after this, so whilst they are currently 4 points above Everton in 18th, if they lose here there is a good chance they could see that gap close in the next few games as it would be no surprise to see them lose all 3 of their next games after this. Leeds won 1-0 when the sides met earlier this season, in a game that had 8 Yellow cards and 11 corners, so there is reason reason be hopeful of seeing some action here. Palace players and fans will no doubt be frustrated after the last few games. It was only a month ago they beat Everton 4-0 in the FA -Cup quarters and followed that up with a 3-0 win against Arsenal, but 3 defeats in a row have brought them crashing back down to reality. This should be an entertaining game. There will no doubt be some bad blood from when they last met, and Palace home games can be very intense. I think there’s a good chance that both teams score, and corners and cards could also be good bets. I think this could be quite an end to end game. In terms of the result it’s difficult to call. Leeds are unbeaten in their last 4 league games, winning 3 of them so they will come here full of confidence. I can see this being an entertaining 2-2 draw where both sides have chances to win but can’t find a winning goal

Both teams to score, each team 1+ corner in each half and 20+ booking points each team – 6/1 Skybet (1 point)

2+ corners each team in each half – 7/2 Skybet (2 points)

2-2 draw correctly score – 14/1 Bet365 (1 point)
